Multiple-Teeth Implants Carson, CA

If you’re missing multiple teeth, you need to replace them for the sake of your oral and overall health. Multiple teeth dental implants are the best way to do so, and we are proud to offer them as an option here in our Carson dentist office.

Why Should I Get Multiple Teeth Dental Implants?

Multiple teeth dental implants are more comfortable than many other tooth replacement options, such as partial dentures. They don’t have to be removed for cleaning or nightly storage. You don’t have to use denture adhesive. Unlike many of the other options, they’re a permanent solution.

Dental implants stop bone loss and preserve the health of your remaining teeth, especially those adjacent to your missing teeth. They also look and function just like natural teeth and require no special care.

How Do Multiple Teeth Dental Implants Work?

You have several options for multiple teeth dental implants. If none of the missing teeth are adjacent, you will have each missing tooth replaced individually as a single tooth dental implant. You can still have multiple dental implants placed at once, however.

If you have multiple adjacent teeth missing, you can either have individual teeth replaced or choose an implant-supported bridge. Your provider will go over all the options and make a recommendation for your particular case when you come into the Carson office for your consultation.

What’s an Implant-Supported Bridge?

A traditional fixed dental bridge spans the gap left by missing adjacent teeth and is connected to a crown covering one of the remaining natural teeth at either end. These are called abutment teeth. An implant-supported bridge uses two implants as abutments in place of the natural teeth.

If you choose this option, you will have two teeth implanted in place of two of the missing ones, one at either end of the row of missing teeth. Each implant consists of a post that is surgically implanted into your jaw and a false tooth that’s connected to the post.

When you’re getting an implant-supported bridge, the two posts will be connected to crowns instead of regular false teeth, and a bridge will be connected to the crowns to span the gap.

This is a more economical option than replacing all your missing teeth with individual dental implants, but bridges are harder to clean than individual dental implants.

What Happens if I Choose Not to Replace My Missing Teeth?

Your teeth are important to both your oral and overall health. Missing teeth make it harder to eat and swallow properly. Your remaining teeth can shift around your jaw, leading to issues with jaw alignment and potentially causing pain or other dental problems. Not replacing your missing teeth also increases the risk of damaging your remaining teeth by chipping or fracturing.

Finally, missing teeth can interfere with your ability to speak and the way your smile looks, potentially causing embarrassment.

How Much Do Multiple Teeth Dental Implants Cost?

Dental implants are the most popular option for replacing missing teeth, but they are also the most expensive option, and they usually aren’t covered by insurance. This means that you can expect to pay most or all of the costs of your multiple teeth dental implants out of your own pocket.

The exact costs of your dental implants will vary depending on your particular situation. The staff at our Carson office will prepare a detailed cost breakdown for you after your consultation and explain how much you will have to pay. We also offer financing options and will be happy to discuss them with you.
